I don't know if you've been in the same boat as us, but with all the rising costs of health insurance my husband's company stopped offering vision insurance. Fortunately, Walmart offers decent prices on eye exams, but the cost of glasses (my husband wears all the time and I wear mostly contacts, but you still need to own a pair of glasses) is really crazy!

Yep, I thought so myself after all, if it's too good to be true...Anyway, my husband and I thought we'd give it a try. After all, if these glasses weren't made of a toxic substance and functioned as glasses, we were really making a small investment compared to the $400 we were looking at even at Walmart.

We both selected a pair of glasses and my husband even ordered a second pair and had them tinted for prescription sunglasses. Our grand total for three pairs of glasses with shipping was just over $100 and we were very pleased!

I know there are other options out there for glasses online, some a little more expensive and might have a brand name selection that you could try. Target Toy Clearance!

Every year, much like Christmas the Target Toy Clearance arrives! While it's getting harder to "buy ahead" for my four year old especially since he now has a definite list of what he wants, this is a great time to try an pick up a few surprises. Target, around the 14th of January (give or take) marks their remaining toys from their Christmas overstock to 75% off! I've been eyeing the toy aisle for a couple of weeks now, watching to see what's available and what might be left when that magical day actually happens!

I visited my local Target today again to do a little recon work in toys, and I stumbled upon the Holiday outfits in the kids department were still on the 30% off rack, but they were all marked 75% off! I bought my kids Christmas outfits for their photos and school performances for $6.74 each (each had a black velvet blazer, gray herringbone tweed pants, a white button down shirt and a red tie) -that's about what I spent this year on a tie for one of my kids!

Another unexpected find was a 6 man tent for the boys to go camping in. My kids have been dying to go camping and although we did try once last summer-it rained- my husband's determined not to give up. The 6 man Coleman tent was originally $140.99-again marked down to $35.XX!
